Guan Erdao grew up in a poor family. His parents were country folk who scrimped and saved, working themselves to the bone to put him through college.
On the very day Guan Erdao graduated, his father, Guan Dadao, collapsed from exhaustion at a construction site. His mother and his coworkers rushed him to the hospital.
After examining him, the doctor said Guan Dadao had mid-stage cancer and would need a huge sum of money for treatment.
With no time to grieve, Guan Erdao turned on his computer to find a job and earn money for his father's treatment. In his haste, he knocked over a cup of water on the desk, accidentally got electrocuted, and passed out. When he woke, he had acquired the All-Talisman System.
From then on, he set out to catch ghosts and earn money to save his father. He gradually discovered that the passage to Hell had closed, preventing the Underworld's ghost constables from entering and leaving Hell to capture evil spirits. Only the virtuous could enter Hell after death and reincarnate, while hungry ghosts began to overrun the mortal world.
