Synopsis

Also known as The Tale of the Strange Ones

Shao Qing was an investigative journalist who mistakenly believed that several missing-person cases were connected to human trafficking. As he investigated, clues pointed to a mysterious cave. He went there and then vanished without a trace. The last time anyone saw him was at a friend's funeral.

In truth, the missing Shao Qing had been taken by a mysterious organization of strange beings and transformed into an ant-like monster with no memories. But the sense of justice in his heart drove his consciousness to fiercely resist the organization's control device. At last, he escaped. A mysterious man came from the vast wilderness, bringing with him a mysterious race: the strange ones.

They have intelligence equal to, or even greater than, humans, but their moods are unpredictable and their behavior impossible to understand.

Humans: Are we pigs and sheep kept in pens?!

Strange one: Could pigs and sheep kill me?!

Strange one: Am I a pig or sheep too?

That night, all of humanity fell into a panic!

Any Stories Where the Protagonist Transmigrates Into a Kamen Rider Monster, Without a System?

I want to read something where the protagonist gets stronger through training, or improves their research skills and studies how to transform into a Kamen Rider. Anything like that works. But no, no, no devouring abilities. Everything I can find is about devouring people to gain their powers: they just swallow anything, even opponents way above their level, like a dog eating shit. They don't even bother to be picky.
