This book is so imaginative! Su Tong made the legendary Meng Jiangnu more three-dimensional, making me feel her emotions and suffering. Especially the description of Xintaojun's tomb in the book is so beautiful that it made me feel like I was actually there. Needless to say, Teacher Su Tong's writing style is second to none. The opening chapter is very good and very appealing. I thought it was a interpretation of a myth. But after I went to Baichuntai, the narrative style felt like a big change, and I could adapt to it later. When I arrived at Shisanlipu, I felt like I had returned to human narrative. The ending was well written, and the voice of the fellow Binu was added, which was very good. Very recommended.
In the end, the gourd was buried under the Great Wall, and returned to its hometown with its bones, or perhaps the soul of its hometown also ran to the Great Wall.
