Honkai: A Journey Without Meaning

On a starry night, a young man gazed up at the heavens and asked the gods a question.

“What is Honkai?”

Growing through tragedy after tragedy, traveling through one hardship after another.

That was the answer he received.

But the sun and moon turned, spring gave way to winter, and the snowy ground grew thick with white bones. The boy of years past had become an old man. He stepped over the bones and walked toward the stars, but this time, all he could find was silent sorrow.

Humans always seem to enjoy setting out on journeys that mean nothing...

“But, my lord, there’s an old saying in Shenzhou: ‘Water can carry a boat, but it can also sink one.’ Never underestimate the strength of the people.”

(Note: This is my first attempt at writing, so the prose isn’t great and the plot may not be very logical. Also, this is a partial fanfic, mainly focused on setting up an original character, so please go easy on me. Most importantly, this is not a System novel, it’s not!!! I have no idea why it got tagged as a System novel.)
