Spring Comes to the Plum and Willow Ferry

Fictional setting, historical romance, family intrigue.

Under a matchmaker’s schemes, Bu Qingyan of the Bu family estate marries Lin Wanyi, the son of a wealthy merchant. Lin Wanyi suffers an attack once a month, and eventually they uncover the person who made him ill. That same culprit also murdered his grandparents.

The legendary Lin Wanyi is said to have a face like carved jade and a handsome, elegant bearing. Rumor is one thing; seeing it for herself is another. On their wedding night, Bu Qingyan is truly startled, shocked, frightened, and angry.

Since the matchmaker made off with most of the betrothal gifts, Bu Qingyan doesn’t want to owe anyone a favor. After careful consideration, she decides to stay at the Lin estate for now.

His smile is as warm as a spring breeze, and it warms Bu Qingyan’s heart.

The Lin family estate seems peaceful and harmonious, but undercurrents run deep. The two join forces to get to the bottom of things, and old events bring hidden secrets to light, revealing who harmed Lin Wanyi all those years ago. But Lin Wanyi was not the only victim. Who could have guessed that his grandparents’ deaths were murders, too? The culprit is brought to justice, but the words they leave behind leave everyone with mixed feelings.
