Yao Jiu was once the big boss of the Ten Thousand Demons Tower. She has an immortal body, and every day she’s either being killed by the protagonist’s team or on her way to be killed by them.
Then one day, a little thing called the Redemption System comes looking for her and asks her to take the career-focused heroine’s place and redeem the villains.
Yao Jiu agrees at once, then pulls all sorts of stunts right in front of the System. One prank follows another, each more outrageous than the last.
She assumes the villain will soon turn on his heel and leave, but that day never comes. If he won’t leave, that’s fine: she’ll just keep playing.
Yao Jiu grows more and more uninhibited. On a whim, she even starts trying all kinds of seduction. As she watches the villain gradually fall for her, she can’t help but feel contempt.
To make the villain completely lose it, she plans to confess everything on their wedding night.
That night, behind crimson gauze curtains with scented sachets hanging from all four corners, Yao Jiu pushes the villain away while he is lost in passion and lays all her schemes bare.
Unexpectedly, he doesn’t turn and leave. Instead, he smiles pleasantly: “I knew all along. I just couldn’t bring myself to expose you.”
I can only say that I don't understand it. The female protagonist is a bit bad, and so is the male protagonist in the later period.
