The Ten Clans of the Heavenly Dao

The Heavenly Dao governs all living beings, and humanity stands at its heart. Humans who survive a tribulation can become gods; those whose souls journey to Fengdu become ghosts; those who defeat all living beings can cultivate as immortals; those who slaughter in bloodshed become demons; and those whose spirits guard Mount Ling become Buddhas. Those whose brutality rivals that of beasts become monsters if their hearts are corrupt. Those devoted to great techniques may become spirits; those who live for ages become ancient entities; and those who dabble in strange arts and crafts eventually become aberrations.
