This book was like a knowledgeable guide that took me through the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. I especially like the introduction to the "Law of the Twelve Tables" in the book, which allows me to understand the importance the Romans attached to law. "Law is the art of justice", this sentence is really wonderful! There is also the story of Julius Caesar, whose bravery and wisdom impressed me. Overall, this book gave me a deeper understanding of the Roman Empire and made me even more eager to explore that fascinating era.
