Essays on Hunan Travel and Others

"Xiang Travels and Others" is divided into three parts, including Shen Congwen's classic prose "Hunan Travels", Shen Congwen's correspondence with his wife Zhang Zhaohe, "Hunan Travels", and some articles describing his hometown in Shen Congwen's proses. "Records of a Journey to Hunan" is known as a classic of modern Chinese prose. The article is based on life in western Hunan and shows Shen Congwen's indescribable sympathy and tenderness for the people in his hometown. "Xiangxing Slips" is the mother version of "Hunan Xingshu", which was not published publicly during the author's lifetime. It was compiled and edited by Shen Huchu in 1991.
