Fragments of an asteroid struck Earth, triggering volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and other natural disasters around the world. Huge amounts of volcanic ash were blasted into the stratosphere and spread across the globe. Earth entered an ice age. Wang Yuan, the protagonist, struggled to survive for 13 years in the apocalypse. While searching for supplies, he met with an accident and gained the legacy of an ancient civilization. He was reborn more than a year before the apocalypse, giving him time to stockpile supplies, build a shelter, lead the survivors through their struggle to survive, and pass on and rebuild human civilization.
This book has no forced scenes of showing off and face-slapping. Aside from elements such as being reborn and having an inventory space, the other settings and plot points are made as logical and scientifically grounded as possible. Earth's transition into an ice age is a gradual process. It is highly unreasonable to suggest a planet could suddenly become freezing cold or scorching hot, or be hit with global torrential rain. Likewise, humans and animals cannot suddenly mutate in a short time. The changes and decline in human nature also happen gradually. When people have enough to eat, they understand courtesy. Bad people may be bad by nature, but good people do not suddenly turn bad. It's only when people are starving that they are capable of doing anything. Of course, some people still shine with the light of humanity under the most extreme conditions.
So the plot of this book unfolds slowly. It will not deliberately create unreasonable clashes or dramatic twists and turns just to attract readers. The author is simply trying to imagine the gradual changes in Earth, humanity, and human nature in the face of an apocalyptic disaster. If that isn't to your taste, please don't flame me.
This book is very well written. I recommend everyone to read it.
It's okay, continue
This apocalyptic novel deserves a five-star rating.
It's beautiful. To be honest, it's the best post-apocalyptic novel I've ever read, but it's discontinued.
Finally a doomsday novel that doesn't involve being betrayed by a woman
As high as I wrote
Good looking, wonderful and hardworking
You still have to write, otherwise it doesn't seem to count
Not bad, not bad, hahahahahahaha
