The Beautiful Her, the Insecure Me

On their wedding night, the groom, Qiu Yuan, was feeling nervous. Even though he was the son of the richest man in the country, he was still deeply insecure. He had finally married Qing Qiu, the woman he'd secretly loved for years, and they had even held the grandest wedding imaginable. Though they were now legally husband and wife, it still felt unreal to him. The bride, Qing Qiu, had also secretly loved Qiu Yuan for many years, but she'd never gotten a confession from him, so she'd stayed single. When they met on a blind date and realized who the other person was, they agreed to marry right away. At that very moment, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were trying to bring them together in their bridal chamber. Everyone wanted them to play a bunch of newlywed games, like biting an apple together and drinking from crossed cups. After playing all night, everyone was exhausted. Once the guests had left, Qiu Yuan closed the door and prepared to sleep alone on the sofa. The bride lay on the bed by herself, feeling glum. Suddenly, someone knocked. A servant had been sent by Madam Qiu with a nourishing tonic soup. They were told they had to each drink a bowl in front of the servants. After they finished, their bodies grew hot, and they could no longer hold back.
