After her sister-in-law fakes a fall to extort money, Li Ting is set upon by her mother-in-law's entire family. Her husband, refusing to hear her side, heartlessly throws her out into the cold, dark night.
As she wanders the streets, utterly disheartened and on the verge of being humiliated to death by street thugs, her seven younger brothers rush to her side one after another.
Eldest brother: "You dare treat my sister like this? The Han family is finished."
Second brother: "Those who hurt my sister will ultimately face justice!"
"..."
Seventh brother: "Sis, we'll support you and spoil you from now on. The seven of us will be your backing and your shield. Whoever bullies you, I'm the first to make him pay!"
The Han family's old matriarch raises her dragon-headed cane and beats Han and his wicked wife mercilessly. "It's all because you were blind that I lost such a wonderful great-granddaughter-in-law!"
"No matter what it takes, bring her back to me!"
Her heartless husband: "Tingbao, come back. I still love you."
Li Ting: "Sorry, but you cruelly kicked me out without even asking what happened. Our ties were severed long ago."
Her sister-in-law sheds crocodile tears. "Sister-in-law, I was wrong. Come back with us."
Li Ting: "From the moment you set me up and your family threw me out, we had nothing more to do with each other."
Her seven younger brothers: "Sis is right!"
