Hollow Mask

This story contains a lot of fan-fiction changes to the original setting. Readers who prefer the original canon are welcome to move along.

The Container Core was secretly developed by the White King, Woum. When he fled with the White Palace, the core ended up in a human kingdom in another world for various reasons.

After starving to death, the protagonist transmigrated to this other world and happened to take over the body of an experimental subject. While he was still bewildered, the core was forcibly implanted in him.

The core immediately began to consume him, damaging his memories. All he could remember was his experimental code name, Xiyue. The researchers then used him as a weapon for testing.

During one of the researchers' mental tests, some of the energy inside Xiyue was accidentally activated, igniting a crimson flame and bringing the Green Troupe into this world.

With the troupe leader's help, Xiyue was sent to a world filled with gods born from human imagination, where the stage was set for the Crimson Ritual.
