Looking for a Book, the Male Protagonist's Parents Are Dead, and the Female Protagonist Travels Through Time

It's a farming story that I read in physical form many years ago. The male protagonist's parents have both died and he is a rough guy who goes up the mountain to catch wild boar, roe deer and other things. The female protagonist saves them for winter and grows vegetables and cooks. It feels like stocking up.
