When Guo Jia woke up, he had transmigrated to 2004. He was sitting beside the Houston Rockets' water cooler, staring into space...
Second-year rookie Yao Ming had just come off the court, drenched in sweat.
It was the 2004 playoffs, and the Rockets and Lakers were locked in a fierce battle. They were now in Game 4, with the Lakers already up 3-1 and holding match point. Worse yet, after three quarters, the Rockets were trailing by 19 points, and the gap looked set to widen!
Facing the monstrous Shaq and Kobe duo, Yao Ming was struggling in this game. He had already carried the team to a win all on his own, and his body had reached its limit.
The outcome was all but decided. Rockets head coach Jeff Van Gundy was ready to give up on the game.
System: Guo Jia, warm up. You'll go on in five minutes, turn the game around, and lead Yao Ming to a championship...
Guo Jia: What?
This is second-year rookie Yao Ming! T-Mac hasn't even arrived yet!
The roster's full of nobodies, and we're up against the untouchable Shaq and Kobe duo!
In an era when superstar centers rule basketball, you're asking a water boy like me to lead the Rockets to a championship?!
Good-looking, not an invincible article, and then attracting celebrities
I hope the protagonist stays away from the Kardashian family. Best Defense is not a wasted reputation.
A player and a coach, do you think you were born to be Guo Fengxiao?!
I just started watching it and it was quite exciting. I only like it if it's not a drama. Looking forward to the Rockets winning the championship, I wonder if Wang Zhizhi will be behind. It's class [laughs awkwardly]
Can the update be done soon? Author! It's been five or six days! Even the donkeys in the production team dare not rest like this~
