A Brush of Shoulders

The young fear neither storms nor time, and dwell neither on the years nor the past. Yet through those brief, naive days of youth, there was one thing they never dared to say. They say unrequited love is the bitterest candy in the world, because you have to find the sweetness in it all by yourself. Years later, Qin Zhi once asked Chen Yilei, “Why did we like each other all along, yet miss out on so many years?” Chen Yilei smiled and patted her head. “Because I was a coward. I was afraid, so I didn’t dare.” He gently caressed her cheek. “At least you never changed.” [Mutual pining + multiple couples + youth + based on real life] Adapted from the author’s true story.
