Told from Shi Yi’s point of view, this is the story of the Chen-Shi couple: how they met, came to know each other, parted, and eventually stayed together for life. Zhou Shengchen and Cui Shiyi both died as part of a plan, while the real pair went on to travel the world together. There’s a little sadness along the way, but it has a happy ending.
The ending made me cry all the way through it. It was a bit sad but a happy ending. It fulfilled my regrets about the show. I have read many spin-offs of Zhou Shengru, most of which are rebirths or messy rewrites. Only this one fits the character very well.
It fits the character of the original work very well and alleviates a lot of regrets. Thank you author,
