[Supernatural cultivation + rekindled love + angst]
The koi spirit living in the hot spring pool on the western slope of Mulan Mountain has a heart that can dispel every sorrow. Yet the Immortal Lord turned the koi into the giant white cat she hates most...
After falling in love and being unable to free herself from her feelings, the koi was sent to the Underworld to serve as a Sacred Sound Envoy, helping the lonely ghosts of the River of Forgetfulness resolve their grievances and overcome their tribulations. She witnessed countless tragic lovers in the mortal world, and through her work, even met her fated enemy: the Immortal Lord!
He flirted with her day and night. It was beyond annoying!
So she broke up the Immortal Lord's arranged wedding and made a quick escape, determined to live freely...
Who could have guessed that the Immortal Lord would pursue her across heaven and earth, demanding she take responsibility? And just as their entanglement seemed impossible to unravel, she discovered that a twist of fate had once brought them together in a tragic love affair.
As they struggled to make sense of it all, one enormous conspiracy after another unfolded. Together with their companions, the two set the world to rights.
The romance between the leads starts rather late. If you can't wait for them to get together, you can start with the white cat's story.
