Blood Roar, Volume One: The Black Tortoise Netherblade

Amid a blizzard, a red-scarfed youth descended from Merciless Mountain. With a dark blade on his back, he set out toward the jianghu he dreamed of.

Where was the jianghu?

Piaoxue said, “I don't know, but the people of this world will tell me. I'll find them, then use my burning blood to melt these shackles.”

For the first half of his life, he searched for a path through the snow. For the next ten years, he listened to the rain across the river.

(I chose the title hastily back then. This book is called Blood Roar, so please ignore the words Black Tortoise Netherblade.)
