On the day of her engagement banquet, Bai Chen'an, the CEO who bought her father's company, hires her to be his fake girlfriend under a contract.
He takes her shopping, then says it's a test.
Fine! She'll play along.
To her surprise, she's in the news the very next day.
That's when Jiang Yuyu discovers that Bai Chen'an is actually a celebrity.
He says, “Bai Zhan is just my stage name! Bai Chen'an is my real name!”
He says, “Acting is just a hobby! It's not my main job!”
He says, “The more famous you are, the more trouble you attract! I'm using you to fend off all the women throwing themselves at me in the entertainment industry!”
He even says, “I'm using you to fend off the women throwing themselves at me at home, too!”
Fine! She admits she's just a pawn to him.
At least she can walk away with the money in the end.
They each have something to gain.
What's wrong with a win-win deal?
