I Am the Villain Chosen by Fate: Starting by Rejecting the Saintess's Engagement

[Villain]+ [System]+ [Scheming and Hilarious]+ [Swordsmanship]

Li Jian transmigrates into a fantasy world and becomes a demonic sect disciple who has infiltrated the Orthodox Unity Sect as a spy.

The sect is currently holding an engagement ceremony for its Saintess and the Orthodox Unity Sect's Holy Son. Li Jian is baffled. Isn't this plot going wrong? As the Villain, shouldn't the heroine fall for the Villain, then the hero come to take revenge, kicking off a series of face-slapping scenes before dramatically declaring, “Thirty years east of the river, thirty years west of the river”?

Isn't that how these stories are supposed to go?

What's going on now? You just got engaged, so what is there left for a Villain like me to do?

No way. Should I become a fantasy-world version of Song Qingshu too?
