The Dragon Maiden as My Wife

My grandfather’s family was originally from Tibet, but he eventually made his way inland. Although his ancestors were shamans, he was also a skilled doctor. From as far back as I can remember, he was a well-known practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine in our area. His medical skills supported Grandma and me, and put me through university.

Ever since I was little, Grandma told me I wasn’t her biological granddaughter. Grandpa had found me in a dry well while he was out on an errand. He and Grandma had never had children, and they believed I was a gift from Heaven. So they doted on me, eager to give me every precious thing they owned...

So even though I had no parents, my childhood was still a happy one...

Until one day, a shadow appeared in my life.

I couldn’t see what he looked like, because he always stood in the dark. He followed me like a curse, keeping me from sleeping peacefully.
