Zhang Xianzhong-Dream of the Western Emperor

This is the "Seven Killing Monument" left by Zhang Xianzhong, who was as famous as Li Zicheng in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty and raised a flag to rebel from his hometown in northern Shaanxi, in 1644 (the 17th year of Chongzhen) more than 350 years ago in Chengdu, the capital of the Great Western Kingdom that he founded, which only lasted three years. Many people have seen the "Seven Kills Monument". From the early Qing Dynasty to the early days of the founding of New China, it stood in Chengdu Shaocheng Park (today's People's Park). Although the Daxi Kingdom founded by Zhang Xianzhong did not last long, its influence was extremely far-reaching. When Zhang Xianzhong led his army to withdraw from Chengdu, Chengdu, which had 400,000 residents and had been one of the five most prosperous cities in the country as early as the Tang Dynasty, was burned to ashes overnight. The productivity of the entire Land of Abundance in Sichuan was devastated, and the population dropped sharply. As a result, the "Huguang filled Sichuan" began in the early Qing Dynasty and lasted for more than a century.
