The Phoenix Order

This story is entirely fictional.

Rumor has it that whoever obtains the Phoenix Token will rule the world. The powerful clans, the royal nobility, the martial arts sects, and countless experts have all joined the search for its whereabouts.

Ever since the founding of the Dongyang Empire, the Gongsun clan has protected it. The founding emperor bestowed upon them the Imperial Whip and decreed that, no matter the era, any heir to the Dongyang royal family who was incompetent and immoral, or who ruled with violence and tyranny, could be whipped. The Gongsun clan also had the right to replace the heir.

Of course, the founding emperor trusted the Gongsun clan so deeply not only because he and the Gongsun ancestors shared a profound brotherly bond, but also because of the curse upon the Gongsun family. Yet there are always those consumed by envy, and so they resort to all kinds of underhanded schemes.
