Ruling the Underworld

Looking for Superbly Written Historical Novels!

I've read The Chief Ministers, A Scholar of Superior Character, A First-Rank Official, A Generation's Military Advisor, The Son-in-Law, The Beauty of the Rivers and Mountains, The Unification of the Mountains and Rivers, I Picked Up Qin Shi Huang, The End of Song, New Song, and Joy of Life. Are there any similar novels with a highly intelligent protagonist who plans everything in advance?

Looking for High-IQ Alternate-History Novels

High-IQ characters! I want them to be really smart (but not so smart that I can’t keep up).

Looking for Historical Alternate-Universe Stories, No Brain-Dead Plots or System

I'm desperate for something to read. Please, veteran readers, recommend books about the Three Kingdoms or set in an alternate history. No System, please. I'll be eternally grateful.

Alternate History, High-IQ Characters, Military Conflict, and Strategic Showdowns

The protagonist defeats opponents through high intelligence rather than mindlessly overpowering them.

Historical Fiction with a Protagonist Skilled in Poetry and the Arts, Hopefully with Good Prose

The protagonist should be skilled at poetry and song. I hope there are more varied poems, rather than repeating the same few over and over.

Alternate History, Historical Novel, Live-in Son-in-Law, No System

No dumbed-down characters. Keep the plot believable.

Any Stories Set in the Tang Dynasty During Emperor Xuanzong’s Reign, With Li Bai?
