Once Upon a Time, There Was a Demon-Sealing City

Once, there was a city.

Outside the city lay the invasion of ten thousand demons, a blood-red river in the heavens, and a sinister darkness.

Within the city stood the will of the people, their sanctuary, and the glittering lights.

The gates were stained red with blood.

Those people became the bricks, at the cost of their lives.

Not for glory or wealth, nor to attain the Dao and become immortal.

They did it so that when it was all over, a thousand homes would shine behind them, and a vast, beautiful land would lie before them.
