A Young Scholar in Troubled Times

Yue Chen, the owner of a small book cafe, fell asleep and transmigrated into the fictional historical kingdom of Daxing. From the start, he was on a battlefield, and to save his own skin, he had no choice but to fight back. At the time, the Daxing dynasty was beset by troubles at home and abroad. Year after year of disaster had left nine out of ten homes empty, people were exchanging children for food, and life was unbearable. Rebellions raged across the land, vassal kings raised their banners, and treacherous ministers colluded with foreign powers. To the north, Beirong; to the west, Xiqin; and to the south, Nandian all nibbled away at Daxing territory, slaughtering and looting without restraint. Smoke from the fighting filled the Central Plains. Watch how Yue Chen turns the tide, advances with careful plans, restores the rightful order, and brings peace to the land.
