This book is intended to familiarize the general public with the basic principles of individual psychology and to illustrate the practical application of these basic principles to the daily relationships of individuals. These daily relationships include not only the relationship between people and the world, but also the relationships between people and other people, as well as the relationships between people and personal life organizations. This book is based on a year of lectures I gave at the People's College in Vienna, to an audience of men and women, young and old, and from a variety of professional backgrounds. The purpose of this book is to point out how individual wrongdoing affects the harmony of our social and public life. Furthermore, it is to teach the individual to recognize his own faults and ultimately to show him what adjustments he can make in order to adapt to public life. Mistakes in business and science are costly and regrettable, but mistakes in the conduct of life often endanger life itself. The mission of this book is to illuminate the way for humans to understand human nature so that they can better move forward on this path.

This book gave me a deeper understanding of human nature! It not only taught me how to recognize my own mistakes, but also pointed out how to adjust myself to public life. As the book says: "Mistakes in business and science are costly and regrettable, but mistakes in life behavior often endanger life itself." Adler's perspective was really enlightening and made me understand the importance of individuals in society. I think everyone should read this book, it will gain a lot!
