[Rebirth + devoted to each other + play the pig to eat the tiger + girl chases boy + sweet romance] [Proud heiress × seemingly refined but actually sharp-tongued, scheming devil]
*
After wealthy heiress Yu Ning is kidnapped, every one of her friends abandons her.
The only one who comes to her rescue at the cost of his life is Pei Jichuan, the owner of a coffee shop whom she has met only a few times.
After being reborn, Yu Ning vows to uncover the real culprit and change her fate. Then she plans to shower Pei Jichuan with money to repay him.
To achieve her goal, she even spins a web of lies and pretends to be poor so she can get close to him.
*
Pei Jichuan is strikingly handsome, gentle and aloof, like an immortal descended from the heavens.
Miss Yu's plan to repay him soon turns into a plan to win his heart.
She tries every trick in the book, but still can't stir the heart of that block of wood. Just as she thinks her plan is about to fail...
Pei Jichuan, convinced she's been stringing him along, corners her against the wall and kisses her until she can barely breathe. Gripping her chin, his eyes red, he asks:
“Keep stringing me along, won't you?”

Pei Jichuan looks at the million-yuan luxury goods belonging to Miss Yu. “Your family is so poor you can barely afford food, and you only get to eat meat once a month?”
Yu Ning points to the cover of a financial magazine, where the country's richest man looks just like Pei Jichuan. “And what about this? Is this your little side business to make ends meet?”
Pei Jichuan, the truly scheming devil, adjusts his silver-rimmed glasses and smiles. “Mrs. Pei, we're even.”

The CEO's office at Tiankun Group.
A reporter asks, “Mr. Pei, there are rumors that you and Miss Yu first met more than ten years ago. Did your feelings for her begin back then?”
Pei Jichuan: “Whether or not she was the person I met back then, she is the only woman I will ever love.”
