This book is another masterpiece by Collins, the author of the super best-selling book "Built to Last". It depicts a grand blueprint for good companies to achieve the leap to great companies. Built to Last reveals the secrets to company excellence, but the companies featured in it excel throughout. How can companies with mediocre performance make the leap from good to great? Do excellent companies have the so-called special "excellence temperament"? Is it really difficult to break through the bottleneck of development?
To address this issue, Collins and his research team spent five years reading and systematically organizing 6,000 articles, recording more than 2,000 pages of interviews, creating 384 million bytes of computer data, collecting all articles from 28 companies in the past 50 years or even earlier, conducting a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analysis, and came up with surprising and exciting answers on how to make a company go from good to great.

This book mentioned many interesting points, such as excellence being the enemy of excellence. It reminded me of Sun Shaoping in "The Ordinary World", who is also a person who constantly pursues excellence. This book also provides some practical methods that I feel will be helpful to many companies. However, the views in the book may be more suitable for business management, and may not be completely applicable to personal pursuit of love, but they can also give us some inspiration, such as maintaining curiosity and constantly improving ourselves. Overall, it's still worth reading.
