This is the first psychology book I tried to read. Some of the contents are relatively deep, but generally it focuses more on common emotions in life. But it answered some of my doubts and brought up a refreshing point of view: all spiritual activities are efforts towards achieving goals. This led me to some other doubts about how I could discover specific goals rather than generalizing them to a sense of society and competition for power.
The reason why it is not given full stars is because human nature is complex and indescribable. It is not necessarily one-sided. It may be multi-faceted and composite. There is no absolute characteristic of human nature. Because it is changeable and unpredictable.
The writing style of this book is easy to understand. Adler uses a large number of real cases to explain personality psychology, which feels interesting and practical. I especially like his analysis of people's social nature and social sense, which gave me a deeper understanding of my own and other people's behaviors. However, I kind of hated some of the cases in the book, they felt too extreme. Overall, this is a book worth reading.
