It is an absolutely hard science fiction, so much so that it took me 12 days to finish it intermittently because I needed to constantly stop and slow down. There are only profound astronomical knowledge, complex factional disputes, intricate religious consciousness, heavy interpersonal emotions, and empty scientific and technological concepts, which make reading and understanding difficult. Difficulty, rather than reading a science fiction novel, it is better to say that you are studying a professional book. The novel not only describes the entire process from receiving extraterrestrial radio waves, deciphering information, making machines, traveling through black holes to adventurous visits to extraterrestrials, it also contains a lot of speculations on human nature, religion, science, and the universe.
