This is a collection of short children's literature stories created by the British writer Irene Fargeon (1881-1965).
When the author was a child, he accidentally broke into a small study room arranged by his father at home. Although there were books in almost every room in the house, only the "small study room" was completely dominated by books. From then on, she opened the door to a new world and read eagerly in it every day. Even though the conditions in the small study were not very good and the reading posture was uncomfortable, it could not stop her enthusiasm for wandering around the sea of books. In this way, the small study grew up with her. When she grew up, she created a collection of fairy tales named "The Little Study". There are a total of 27 fairy tales in the book, most of which are based on rural life and nature. There are no princes and princesses, and the protagonists are mostly children and animals. The concept is novel and full of philosophy. Each story is derived from real life and intertwined with wild imagination.
The author said in the preface: "It is not so much that life cannot be without clothes, but it is better to say that books are more indispensable. Compared with being hungry, having no books to read is more unbearable." "Little Study" is a fairy tale and a fable, which has brought joy to the childhoods of generations of children.
Reader comments
Some stories are very reasonable, some stories are full of true feelings, some stories are full of thorns, some stories are wild and unconstrained, and some stories are thought-provoking [thinking] [laughing]
It's good to watch, but maybe because of the regional differences, I only have a partial understanding of it, and some don't understand what it is trying to express or what it is satirizing.
Tears may be the beginning, but they should not be the end.
Maybe I should really read some novels of this type. Only after seeing it did I realize how different it was.
I think this book is very good. The characters in it are all very vivid, and I especially like Silly Willy. His words "I'm not stupid, I'm just different" really touched me. This book does not preach, but allows children to think for themselves through simple stories. It is very suitable for children to read.
"The world is everything you have seen and everything you have not seen."
It's a fairy tale
