She lost both her parents at the age of eight and became an orphan. Thanks to her master’s Dian opera skills and generous support, she was able to continue her education. After graduating from university, her first love asked her to go abroad with him. She wanted to return to her hometown, which meant they had to break up. On the way home, she was trapped for a day and a night by a landslide, until a police officer rescued her. Later, while visiting her students’ homes, she learned that he was the officer assigned to support rural revitalization in the area. Thanks to him, the best student in her class was able to continue studying. Later, when she was torn over whether to quit her job and pursue Dian opera, an offhand remark from him gave her the resolve she needed. Eventually, her company grew, and she traveled regularly between Jingdu and Qing County, helping the local people prosper and preserving and promoting Dian opera culture. Her first love returned after completing his studies, with a thriving career and no one by his side. He still loved her as he always had, waiting for her to come back and soften toward him. But her heart remained with the uniform from Yunnan and the high-altitude flush on his face, and with her great dream of taking Dian opera beyond Yunnan and out into the world, sharing its uplifting spirit with more people.
