The Analects of Confucius (Two Volumes)

Mr. Nan Huaijin is a famous scholar with high reputation at home and abroad. Born in a scholarly family in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, he received traditional education from a private school since he was a child. In his youth, he had read various classics from hundreds of schools of thought. Mr. Nan Huaijin compiled "The Analects of Confucius", which is a collection of lectures on "The Analects of Confucius" based on extensive quotations from ancient and modern times. The book gives a detailed and vivid description of each original text of the twenty chapters of "The Analects of Confucius". There are not only hints on chapter structure and paragraph connection, but also elucidation of the meaning of the original text and the humanistic anecdotes involved. What is particularly novel is that the author summarizes the original text into historical stories, which are profound and interesting, which is unique among the many chapters and essays in The Analects.

It's super beautiful. It's a modern interpretation of traditional Chinese culture. It starts from popular culture and the cultivation of ordinary people. The language is not fancy at all. During the reading process, I thought more than once, if the teacher could have said this when I was studying classical Chinese, when I was exposed to the Analects of Confucius, and when I recited "It's a joy to have friends come from afar", I think everyone would fall in love with the Chinese language and traditional Chinese culture, and it would benefit them for life. This is the limitation of education. This kind of accomplishment may not be achieved by many middle school and university teachers. Fortunately, we can discover, search and read by ourselves. On the paper, it feels like I have returned to the Lu, Qi and Wei states during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, as if the teacher on the podium is Confucius.

The Analects of Confucius Author Nan Huaijin The language is relaxed and the reading is humorous and interesting. It is indeed a special book. Rather than annotating the Analects of Confucius, it is more of a personal summary of Confucianism by the old man. The personal point of view is very clear and the meaning of preaching is very strong. After reading the whole article, I can see that the old gentleman's ideological system is very complete and refreshing to read, but there are also many things that are contrary to what I think, say and do. So this article is probably not suitable for enlightenment.

Teacher Nan's book is based on experience gained from true cultivation. The so-called insight into worldly affairs is knowledge, and the mastery of human feelings is article. Those who don't understand it will talk nonsense and don't know what to say. Only after being tempered by real life can you understand it.

There are many people who cannot read "The Analects" at their age. It would be a good idea to catch up on this lesson when you retire! No matter who you are, it is a blessing to read the sage culture early and absorb its essence!
