On a medium-sized planet in Pisces, the average temperature is 36 degrees below the boiling point of water. There are plant people, whose bodies are dominated by carbon skeletons; stone people, whose bodies use more silicon compounds; and metal people, who look like metal but are more like stone people in their physical makeup. When plant people became capable of providing different kinds of reproductive fluid, stone people could still be born, but metal people who gave birth to them would most likely be punished.
