I am the author of Fish-Eating Tom Cat. This book was created on a whim two years ago. I read a lot of novels at that time and I always wondered whether most of the protagonists were stories told from a human perspective. I wanted to write a novel that was different, with a monster as the protagonist.
But things went counterproductive. Two years ago, my writing skills were very weak, and my idea of the story was very simple, so I gave up after writing only ten chapters. (As a result, the first ten chapters of this book may be a little boring. I revised it slightly later. Please stick to the end. I am currently creating the first climax of this book, and I have laid some foreshadowing through the previous articles).
After two years of hard work, during which I read many excellent novels, I learned two words "persistence" from a certain work. Regarding the protagonist Li Bai, the concept two years ago was that of a tragic protagonist who was forced into a false game world. After finally successfully completing the game and returning to the real world, he discovered that he was just a brain soaked in a vat (this inspiration came from the brain in the vat).
When I picked up this work again, I wanted to write Li Bai as a villain who would do whatever it takes to achieve his goals, but I had two points in mind. The first point is that my personal character is difficult to consider from the perspective of a pure villain. The second point is that the protagonist in the story has traveled directly from the earth. It is difficult to shape the character of a villain without certain experience support.
In the end, I positioned the protagonist Li Bai as a growth-oriented protagonist who is a little smart but has experienced ups and downs. Every setback will make him grow and change his mentality and personality. He will experience the journey of our lives with adventures in another world.
I haven't figured out what kind of person I will become in the end, and I'm still conceiving whether it will have a good or bad ending. If there is something bad about what I wrote, I hope you can give me some feedback. I will learn to improve and make this work as good as possible.
