Synopsis

A thousand years ago, in the human world, he bore the hatred of his family and the burden of humanity's mission. As time passed and the story continued, the trials of rebirth washed over him, stripping away his memories of his previous life. Having lived two lives, he knows nothing of it all. The origins of chaos and slaughter, the chance encounters that weave through time and space, the unchanging cause and effect of fate: all were destined, and all could not be escaped. A legendary life of battle, a showdown between chosen demonic prodigies, struggles for supremacy, a war-torn academy. The extraordinary story of “Scar” begins here, unfolding a tale of a fate full of twists and turns! A mysterious black-eyed boy wanders alone and dazed through the streets and alleys of a fallen imperial city. By chance, he meets a benefactor, but covered in scars from head to toe, he is destined to become a “demon's pawn.” An endless conspiracy has yet to reach its conclusion; a plot spanning countless millions of years will finally come to light! The Demon and Dragon clans, indisputable myths, and countless beastfolk: all these tales, heard along the way, are about to come to life. In Seattle, the night is sleepless, and the debts of national and family hatred will all be repaid! The secret family lore never passed down to the black-eyed boy is intricately connected to the “Imperishable Empire.” The power of the “Peak Demon Domain,” the unsolved mysteries surrounding the spear that slaughters and destroys the world, and the ancient legends of the foremost of the “Three Dragon Kings” are all intertwined! The “most terrifying beings in the world,” the “demonic prodigies of magic” who once stood atop the “human pyramid,” and the “colossal creatures” at the very top of the “food chain” are all intimately connected. That mighty standard-bearer of magic has shone through the ages, with no equal before or since. His knowledge cannot be passed on through words or teaching; it can only be pursued step by step. The black bamboo slips and ancient scrolls contain nine unknown seals, each concealing peerless techniques and sacred martial arts! All under heaven is white, but I alone am black. The nine provinces are vast and elusive: who will rule their rise and fall?! A spear shatters the firmament, a sword points toward the ancient world, feet tread through purgatory, and a dragon strides across the land...
