The Hero Fights the Demon King, but the Hero Is a Capitalist

[Comedy + unhinged antics, no System! Pure romance! Capitalist worldview! Politics! A smart protagonist! Absurdity!]

After being betrayed by a friend during a persecution campaign, Zhang Gousheng was saddled with a crime he never should have been charged with. While in prison, someone dosed him with a virility tonic, and he died, reincarnating in another dimension.

The goddess who came to receive Zhang Gousheng told him he could return to Earth if he defeated the Demon King of the Mia Continent. When he arrived on the Mia Continent, his parents named him Long Shuai.

In his previous life, Long Shuai was already a capitalist. He became a Hero at the age of seven, a Hero who posted requests every day for other people to do the work.

As Long Shuai saw it, the reason he'd died in his previous life had to be that he failed to get into university! After all, university students are the kind of people who “make the lords tremble with a fit of anger, and bring peace to the world by staying home.”

Long Shuai had the nickname “the kid everyone else's parents wish they had,” yet for all that, he was terrible at studying and utterly hopeless at school. But he was exceptionally good at building a network of loyal friends.

A devoted believer in true love, Long Shuai was a ruthless sort. He liked killing men who kept harems or stole other people's women, perhaps because he himself had no wife in his previous life.

Though he was the protagonist, Long Shuai acted more like a villain. He had a conscience, but not much of one. He would hurt people, but not those who posed no threat to him. He exploited workers, yet respected them, because he too had come from the bottom of society.

He became a merchant, then a bishop, then a bureaucrat, and finally a king who launched sweeping reforms. In the end, he unified the Mia Continent, infiltrated the Demon King's castle, squeezed every last bit of surplus value out of the Demon King, and executed him!
