A City in Bloom

This book is very interesting and highly recommended. The characters in the book are very three-dimensional. Let's talk about the male protagonist first. He is the youngest son in a well-off family and is deeply loved by his family. However, he is not arrogant and domineering. Because of Li Lanyu, he got to know the heroine. He loves the heroine deeply, but for the happiness of the heroine, he also He is willing to let go, unlike some articles where the male protagonist takes the power by force. He takes into account the female protagonist's self-esteem and feelings, and pays more attention to the female protagonist's happiness. After knowing that his father has approached the female protagonist and the entanglement between Gao Yunxi and Du Xiangxi Later, he comforted the drunken heroine and arranged everything for the heroine's reputation. He did not take advantage of the situation. This is the difference between him and Du Xiangxi. Later, he wanted to accept Gao Yunxi as his concubine so that Du Xiangxi could understand Gao Yunxi's true face. He has been working hard for You Wan's wife, but it is difficult to reconcile when trust issues arise in their marriage. As You Wan said, "Even if the mirror is broken, even if it is repaired, the crack will still exist." Because the country was in war, in order to protect the country and to make sure that his son Wan went abroad in peace, he said that he might get married in the future. If he married and had a daughter, he would name his daughter Wanwan. It was also because of this name that the two had a misunderstanding. The country approved Du Xiangxi's application to follow Youwan in Germany, and he had a five-year agreement with Du Xiangxi. He knew that if he died in battle, Youwan would have a good home, but he underestimated his position in Youwan's heart and even more so for Youwan. Wan is decisive and resolute, and he also fulfills his duty to the country. He almost couldn't wake up while fighting on the front line. Fortunately, You Wan saved him. He has a patriotic passion. He may act recklessly in the early stage (for Li Lanyu) but he is sensible. He has the courage to take responsibility. , He loved passionately and silently; as for Du Xiangxi, Youwan said that there was this order in Du Xiangxi's heart: mother > Gao Yunxi > fame and wealth > Youwan. Due to Du Xiangxi's emotional injury, mother's wishes and his own thoughts, he also felt that Youwan was He was the right candidate for his wife, so he said "I like you" instead of "I love you" to Youwan. However, the young Youwan couldn't see Du Xiangxi's hesitation because of his stunning youth. Du Xiangxi could abandon his newlywed wife just to become famous in a battle. She thought she was successful but unexpectedly was trapped in prison. Youwan accidentally discovered the past of Du Xiangxi and Gao Yunxi, and saw the two meeting. Moreover, because of the sentence "You are not as good as her", their marriage was completely ended. After learning the true face of Gao Yunxi Afterwards, he gradually recalled the time he spent with Youwan, and then he realized that he had missed Youwan who only loved him. He followed Youwan to Germany, but he knew that Youwan could face him calmly at this time, but he no longer had any feelings for him. She had a soft spot for another person, and that person was worth a thousand times more than herself. He was struggling with whether to tell You Wan that Mu Lin was in danger. After hesitating for one night, he decided to tell You Wan, and he also bought You Wan a ticket to return home. Although he knew it was impossible, he still wanted to fight for it. He asked Youwan if he wanted to live with him in Germany. Of course Youwan rejected him. In Du Xiangxi, I saw his character traits of being filial, pursuing fame, and only seeking self-sufficiency; finally, Youwan said , she is undoubtedly a smart, witty, sober, independent, passionate and patriotic woman, because from the beginning he guessed that Mu Lin's identity is not simple. Because of her family background, she has long kept her distance from Mu Lin, and the relationship between the two is just It means a friend. Many people may wonder why the two of them have such a good relationship, but Youwan learned Mu Lin's name from Gu Shaobo. However, I think this is a distance relationship set by Youwan, so I follow others and call him " "Young Master Gu", because she knew that his status was extraordinary, she was unwilling to go beyond the thunder pool. She was afraid that if she took a step forward, it would lead to a bad outcome. When You Wan had not yet fallen in love with Mu Lin, Gu's father came to find her, and at that time she had already She was about to marry Du Xiangxi, and then Mu Lin came to find her, and she told her decisively that she liked Du Xiangxi. During the days when Du Xiangxi was in prison, she discovered the past between Du Xiangxi and Gao Yunxi, and he fell into self-doubt for a time. Du Xiangxi met Gao Yunxi shortly after Du Xiangxi's showdown and obtained Du Xiangxi's guarantee. This became the trigger for the breakdown of their marriage. Du Xiangxi's words "You are not as good as her" made Youwan have self-doubt. She was heartbroken for a while, but She is brave and strong. She walked out of the gloom bravely with the comfort of Mu Lin. She announced her divorce in the newspaper and said goodbye to her past self without leaving any way out. After that, she went to Germany to study. Because of her kindness, she became David's student. She clearly expressed her relief to Du Xiangxi who followed her. She neither loved nor hated her. She had truly gotten out of that wrong and failed marriage. At this time, she also saw her own heart clearly. She truly had a soft spot for Gu Mulin.

It feels so good to have someone waiting for you right where you are.

The male and female protagonists went through many hardships, but fortunately they met in the end.
