Shen Zhiwei is an ordinary office worker, insignificant as dust, rushing day after day between her rented apartment, the subway, and office towers. Overtime, grievances, cutthroat competition, workplace manipulation, salary anxiety, the warmth and coldness of human relationships, and the pull of desire: everything she experiences is part of the life you are living, too.
Everyone you meet is a mirror.
Every tear you shed resonates with millions.
I cultivate myself amid the ordinary world, while you drift through life among its people.
I am an independent self;
I am also you, multiplied into countless others. With the spirit of Dream of the Red Chamber, this story follows an office worker's cultivation. Through one person's life, it reveals the myriad faces of all living beings.
