In the Depths of Scarlet

There was a kingdom in Shu, called Fengmu, second only to Ba. Its people had three eyes and could see the people at the world's core. They once returned, but to no avail. They fought them and wiped them out, leaving not a trace of bone.

When Dr. White published his report, “Project Pumice,” in a geological journal, discussing the relationship between sinkholes and the moon, the girl with butterfly wings was following her father aboard the Bull Running for the first time. At the same time, the person she met aboard the ship happened to receive a message from the depths of the sea. As for whether the CEO of Xiusi Pharmaceuticals went alone into the desert that same year; whether Adrian and Turner, who possessed the Three-Life Stone, got back in touch; whether the emperor of the Celestial Empire had grown his first scale, and so on and so forth, even I can't remember anymore.

If I were given another chance, or several chances, to start imagining it all over again, I can't picture this story, "In the Scarlet Depths", turning out all that differently. We are born with more than just genes. There are also memories from another life that surface naturally when you look at nothing, think of nothing, and let a little so-called common sense serve as your starting point.

So I forgave myself for knowing nothing about this world, this universe, and called the rough edges of my imagination “primitive.”

Souls, thoughts, spirits, the sun, the moon, the stars: from ancient times to the present, all have sought eternal life, never realizing that birth itself is eternity.
