[Infinite Flow] [Male Lead] [Love and Hate] [A Powerful Duo] [Open Ending] [Content Warning: The male lead is a little unhinged, not exactly normal, and going berserk is a regular occurrence...]
The sea of fog that descends without warning, an asylum full of lunatics, a lively ball of ceramic dolls, a city of hope where flowers bloom everywhere, an inn where no one finds salvation, a great magician in a white mask, an eerie animal fantasia, a world of mirrors where black and white are reversed...
Is there a final ending to this story?
And is that ending really the ultimate truth?
A space-time merchant enters the game at a casino on a snowy, storm-lashed night, and the story begins.
In The Last Game, Qiao Miao asks Pei Shudi, "What exactly am I to you?"
"Isn't it obvious? A bargaining chip, the only one that'll let me get out of here alive!"
But on another timeline, Qiao Miao gets a different answer: "My lover, the only one I love."
(PS: Qiao Miao is a woman, but since she needs to deal with people from different worlds, she usually appears as a man. It saves her a lot of trouble, and has become second nature to her. So for most of the story, outsiders see Qiao Miao as a man.)
