I Go Fifty-Fifty with the Gods

Chen Ping's System has only one trait: it's afraid of death. More precisely, it's terrified that Chen Ping might die!

So whenever someone takes issue with Chen Ping, the System immediately raises his strength to match theirs. That means... whether you're an emperor among the gods or a demonic, monstrous prodigy, if you don't like me, we're evenly matched!

"A creature nearby has detected killing intent toward the Host. The System is assessing its strength!"

"Assessment complete. The opponent's combat power is 8,600, higher than the Host's!"

"Adjusting the Host's combat power..."

"Ding!"

"The Host's combat power has increased to 8,600."

Getting stronger is just that simple...
