[Showbiz + transmigrate into a book + wacky comedy + sharp-tongued heroine + sweet romance + bickering rivals + two powerful leads]
Pure-hearted male lead Yu Ruize × career-driven female lead Shen Banjing
Rising star Shen Banjing was accidentally struck by a chandelier during a TV show and died on the spot.
But fate was kind to her. While her soul was still wandering the mortal world, a System chose her and sent her to another world to complete a mission.
The moment she opened her eyes, she found herself holding a bouquet of roses and kneeling before a man. He was devastatingly handsome, but his expression was anything but pleasant.
“Miss Shen, I believe I've made myself perfectly clear.”
After saying that, the man turned and left. Shen Banjing stared at the bouquet in her arms, confused, when the story's plot suddenly flooded her mind.
...It turned out the original Shen Banjing had been a hopeless doormat. The man she'd just seen was Lu Mingyi, her childhood friend, whom she'd pursued relentlessly for years.
Shen Banjing's mission after transmigrating into the book was to stay away from Lu Mingyi and survive until she turned forty.
In the original novel, Lu Mingyi had hated the original Shen Banjing's obsessive pursuit. In the end, even her death had something to do with him, in a way no one could clearly explain.
Lu Mingyi was a popular male star. The original Shen Banjing had entered showbiz just to see him, and although she had a delicate, beautiful face, everyone knew her as his lovesick stalker.
To shake off that reputation, Shen Banjing launched a series of schemes.
But somewhere along the way to clearing her name, it seemed she'd also stolen someone's heart.
I'm commenting after reading more than a dozen chapters. The characters are well-developed, especially Shen Banjing's parents and brother. The male protagonist is not clear about the female protagonist's interest. It seems that she suddenly became interesting. Anyway, it's good to ignore the small details.
