Yang Ruohan, a spirit-suppressing master of the Underworld King's estate, secretly entered the cycle of reincarnation more than twenty years ago.
An orphan, Yang Ruohan met Jiang Yu, an undercover police officer, and Xiao Chengyu after a child-trafficking case from her childhood.
With Jiang Yu risking her life to guide them, the police raided the traffickers' hideout. With the police's help, all the abducted children returned to their homes.
More than a decade later, fate brought Yang Ruohan face-to-face with the people from that time once more, but they no longer recognized one another. With Xiao Chengyu's help, Yang Ruohan made it back to the city and reported the situation to the police, only to run into another accident. She spent three years in prison.
She agreed to the former police chief's offer and joined the police, but she could never reveal her identity to the public. Starting with an investigation into Xiao Chengyu's identity, Yang Ruohan discovered that there were too many mysteries surrounding her, including her ability to see other people's deaths. When the mission to arrest Xiao Chengyu was finally complete, more and more clues about the secret of her identity began to emerge.
(I've revised it. I felt Jiang Yu hadn't been given enough detail. The male lead is now Xiao Chengyu. His identity is explained in the story.)
