Boiling the Little Green Plum

[Childhood sweethearts + reunion after years apart + two top students]

Ji Shen had loved Jiang Yinuan since he was little. Ever since he could remember, he’d loved her: the Jiang Yinuan who used to run after him, the little girl who called him “Brother Shen” in her soft, sweet voice.

But when Jiang Yinuan was nine, she vanished from Ji Shen’s life. From then on, he seemed to become a different person.

The sensible, well-behaved, obedient little boy turned into the sharp-tongued, scheming, fierce school heartthrob at the affiliated high school.

He saw Jiang Yinuan again when she was sixteen.

Ji Shen immediately turned into a peacock showing off its feathers, constantly finding ways to express his feelings to her. He never actually said the words “I love you,” but his actions made his feelings clear, until the two of them got together.

Just when he thought they could go on like that forever, Jiang Yinuan once again left Ji Shen’s world without a word!

This time, Ji Shen was truly devastated!

My name is Jiang Yinuan. There’s a boy I like very, very much. We grew up together, but we were separated for a few years for certain reasons. When we met again, he was always finding ways to make me happy.

At first, I didn’t like him. But gradually, I understood my own feelings and fell for him, too.

Just when I thought we could stay happy together forever, fate played a cruel joke on me!

(The heroine isn’t perfect, and sometimes she can be a little unlikeable. If you don’t like her, feel free to drop the book.)

(The author is sensitive!)
