The Wicked Ancestress Only Wants to Be a Lazybones

[No CP + Republican Era + Family Matriarch + Household Intrigue] Mei Ting dies from staying up all night binge-watching dramas, only to wake up as the vicious, unbearable old matriarch of the Xing family in the Republican era!

Madam Xing's first half of life was turbulent. She was a child bride to a wastrel husband, and when the family fell into poverty, she worked like an ox for a wealthy household. In her later years, despite enjoying riches and glory and having exceptional children, she is still sharp-tongued and malicious!

Mei Ting, who has taken her place, only wants to be a slacker. But to keep her secret identity under wraps, she has no choice but to work every day at maintaining her villainous persona...

She takes on the second concubine, exposes a traitor, survives a famine, and punishes maids with ulterior motives...

Mei Ting sighs at the sky: Why is it so hard to be a slacker!
