The Evolution of Physics

[US] Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Kingdom of Württemberg, German Empire. He died on April 18, 1955 in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. He is considered one of the most important theoretical physicists in the history of science. His research on the structure of matter, space and time, and the properties of gravity have completely changed people's worldview since the time of Newton. He is best known for his mass-energy equivalent formula E=mc2, and won the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his "contributions to theoretical physics, especially his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect." Einstein published more than 300 scientific papers and more than 150 non-scientific papers, and left more than 30,000 letters. His intellectual achievements and originality made "Einstein" synonymous with "genius." Einstein used his extraordinary social fame to work for international understanding and peace. He calls himself a pacifist, a socialist and a Zionist. [Poland] Leopold Infeld/(Leopold Infeld) Polish theoretical physicist and academician of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Born in Krakow on August 20, 1898, graduated from Krakow University in 1921. From 1936 to 1938, he worked at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, USA, working with Einstein. Since 1939, he has been a professor at the University of Toronto, Canada. Returned to Poland in 1950. In 1951, he was appointed director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics. Cooperating with Einstein and Hoffmann, he derived a satisfactory theory of object attraction (Einstein-Infeld-Hoffmann theory) from the field equations in the general theory of relativity. Infeld is also a science critic and author. "The Evolution of Physics", co-authored with Einstein, is well-known and has been translated into and published in many languages. Translated by Zhou Zhaowei, Professor of the School of Physics and Information Engineering of Shanxi Normal University. His ancestral home is Shunde, Guangdong. He graduated from the Communications Engineering College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Zhangjiakou in 1954. In 1962, he translated and published "The Evolution of Physics", which was reprinted many times.
