A Mountain Need Not Be Tall

A record of a group of immortals who numb themselves to reality while pinning their hopes on others, deeply insecure yet desperately trying to show off. At its heart is a struggle for succession among three generations of immortals, entangled with a thousand years of grudges and passions across the Six Realms, and the twists of fate linking past lives and the present. It leads to the tragic end of a generation of spirited young people, every last one of them.

Purple walls, stars and moonlight, lamps burning along the forbidden steps, morning bells amid the clamor of court horses. A dream, gone in a turn of the head.
